ET-II, Computer, Network, Switching, and Cryptographic Technician

Description:
Lockheed Martin Information Technology-Professional Services is looking for am ET-II, Computer, Network, Switching, and Cryptographic Technician, for sustainment of network infrastructure, cryptographic equipment, and deployable switching systems in a fixed and deployed environment at Al Udeid AB, Qater. Typical duties will include: Planning, organizing, and directing sustainment activities; Establishing standards, methods, and controls for preventative, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions; Plans and schedules communications and related equipment installations; Resolves installation and maintenance discrepancies; Maintains, inspects, and tests assigned systems; Maintains inspection and maintenance records; Initiates and conducts system verification tests to assess the capability and effectiveness of networks and communications systems; Performs organizational, intermediate, and depot level sustainment on assigned systems; Isolates malfunctions and repairs computer network systems and associated peripheral equipment. Removes, repairs, and replaces assemblies, subassemblies and electronic components to optimally sustain communications networks; Aligns and modifies system components according to National Security Agency, Joint, Departmental, DISA Directives, Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO), and local procedures; Ensures compliance with operation security practices. Applies communications security programs to include physical, cryptographic, transmission, and emission security. Develops and ensures compliance with safety standards and instructions; Performs pre-deployment and mobilization operations to deploy systems and support equipment to support mission requirements; and Inspecting equipment at specified intervals determining operational status. Knowledge of the Air Force Supply system is a plus. Control and Reporting Center (CRC) O&M experience is highly desirable. The position is available now.

Requirements: US citizen with a DoD security clearance (selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information). Minimum of 3 years experience in electronics repair, maintenance and testing of at least one of the Computer, Network, Switching and Cryptographic systems and a minimum of 3 years of "hands on" experience in sustainment of network infrastructure, cryptographic equipment, and deployable switching systems in a fixed and deployed environment. Operating and maintaining systems through effective troubleshooting, repair, diagnostics and system performance analysis.

Education: Must be a graduate of a high school or a trade school; must have attended a DOD or FAA electronics or industrial school course of instruction or successfully completed an accredited correspondence school; and a minimum of 3 years experience in electronics repair, maintenance and testing of at least one of the Computer, Network, Switching and Cryptographic systems identified in the SOW.
