Principal Accountabilities:
• Actively sell the Bank’s retail and business services in a professional manner through an established number of pre-arranged, well-planned outside sales calls on a weekly basis with follow up as needed to gain and optimize the business relationship. This includes all deposit, retail and business credit products, and fee-based services while maintaining established performance and production levels for this position. May participate in outside sales calls with business lending partners. Refer loan customers as necessary to business lending partners.
• Provide information to customers concerning retail credit products; interview loan applicants; collect appropriate data; process loan requests; finalize documentation; and disburse funds. Utilize relationships with local civic/volunteer organization(s) to identify potential CRA lending opportunities. Maintain open and positive communications with Retail Centralized Underwriting and Loan Doc departments to ensure prompt, professional and responsive lending service to the customer. Work with the Collection and Recovery Department with follow-up and collection on loan delinquencies in a timely and effective manner as appropriate.
• Provide information to customers regarding deposit products and services; gather pertinent customer information, open new accounts and prepare documentation as necessary, ensuring that all new accounts are properly set up and processed.
• Market the Bank's services via outside sales calls, telephone, and correspondence in a professional, sales-oriented manner and maintain an active prospect list for telemarketing and for outside sales calls to meet established goals.
• Answer questions and resolve problems for customers concerning all services provided by the Bank; identify the problem, collect data, secure answers and report results to the inquiring party and work with other branch teammates or other bank associates as necessary; and practice the Sundown Rule (i.e. return calls, respond to the customer within the day, etc.) when possible.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations on all loan applications and deposit product documentation. Keep current on product knowledge, competition and compliance issues related to deposit and lending products.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with bank associates to ensure continued generation of customer referrals; follow up on referrals in a timely manner; and provide feedback on all referrals. May serve as a backup for the Financial Services Manager, if needed.
• Actively participate in branch selling programs and sales meetings, making monthly sales presentations as assigned.
• On an as-needed basis, provide a variety of basic banking functions such as processing checking and savings account transactions, loan transactions, cashing checks, balancing each day’s transactions and verifying cash totals, in compliance with established policies and procedures.

DESCRIPTION

To assist in achieving Bank growth and profitability goals by effectively implementing the branch's marketing and business development plan, selling deposit and credit products and providing high quality customer service for all customers.
The incumbent reports to a Financial Services Manager and is responsible and accountable for actively selling the retail and business products of the Bank. The incumbent focuses primarily on deposit generation, but also handles all retail loan referrals from business lending partners, and generates sales related to deposit and/or fee-based service accounts. The incumbent develops sales through a well-planned and executed outside calling program. This is a high customer contact position.
