Editor - Teen Ink Magazine
About the Job
Teen Ink magazine and Teenink.com website is looking for an Editor who is an extremely fast reader, detail oriented with excellent grammar skills. You must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in English and some editorial experience with print magazines, websites - or some editorial experience. You must have very good computer skills. Familiarity with Quark Express and/or databases is a plus.
We are looking for a part-time editor who lives in the Boston area who could work about 3 days a week reading teen submissions, choosing the best articles and editing them for publication. Person would need a car to get to our Newton office.
Teen Ink is a magazine and website written by teens for teens. Now in our 21st year, we have no staff writers or assigned stories. Instead, thousands of teens send their fiction, nonfiction and poetry to us regularly.
Teen Ink is a nonprofit organization with a very small office and staff. We publish a 48 page monthly print magazine and maintain a very large website.
