Overview

Advantage Business Media is a media company in the communications, pharmaceutical, medical, electronics and engineering sectors.  We have over 40 years of print and electronic publishing history in our brands.

We are seeking a Junior or Senior level student with a Journalism, English or Communications major for a Spring Semester internship, working part time hours each week.   This is an unpaid, for credit only internship to give candidates valuable real life work experience. 

Responsibilities

Our publications, featuring both print and online content, are seeking an editorial intern to add to its team. This flexible internship will give interns opportunity to copy edit stories, write and edit product releases and industry news stories, conduct interviews and research for article assignments, prepare galley pages prior to layout of magazine pages, post content onto Content Management System and into magazine website.  Interns will participate in all editorial staff meetings that are held.

Qualifications

Candidates should be Journalism, English or Communications majors. Attention to detail as well as strong writing and editing skills are required. Experience working with online media (i.e. websites, newsletters) would be helpful.
