Electrical CAD Designer
Works with engineering and production departments to develop drawings of electrical systems. These drawings may include schematics, point to point wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, key diagrams, cable tabulations, and logic diagrams. Must have experience in and understand the functionality of transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, distribution panels, control panels, and programmable logic controllers. Should be able to take a task from concept to actual design. Utilizes both Autocad and Microstation software, working knowledge of Microstation is preferred. Candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills, adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to understand how to develop a drawing with minimal direction. Requires Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (1-2 years experience minimum). Previous utility experience a plus. The successful candidate will be required to attend training in downtown Cincinnati for the first 2 weeks of the assignment. Successful candidate must provide own personal protection equipment, hard hat, ear plugs, and safety glasses and meet the requirements for a MICCS card.
