SUMMARY

• Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical and electronics systems of the plant.

• Drives the continuous improvement methodology of TPM

• Other duties may be assigned

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct supervision of the electronic technicians of the plant.

• Electrical parts and labor budget holder.

• Responsible to comply, and enforce the compliance with, safety, good housekeeping, GMP’s and other regulatory requirements at all time.

• Responsible to elaborate, planning and implement maintenance activities in order to achieves the utmost reliability of the plant assets

• Implementation of electrical maintenance plans based on the plant loss tree.

• Leading the electrical maintenance team, developing their skill gaps, giving coaching and provide the necessary tools performing their tasks.

• Be an active player on the Total Productivity Maintenance program, contributing with ideas and be a catalytic change person in order to achieve the highest. maintenance standards.

• Provide technical expertise to solve daily and chronicle problems.

• Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies required for operations.

• Working together the manufacturing department to find solutions to achieve the plant production attainment, cost and quality of the products.

• Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/ or Experience

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience of minimum five years in managing maintenance department.

• Expert in PLC programing

 

Language/ Communications Skills

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Abilities to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Must be fully bilingual (Spanish and English).

• Ability to understand and communicate safety information and report injuries no matter how minor they are. Advise supervisors of problems with tools or machinery within the plant.

• Be pro-active in asking for safety information to perform a task, if the information is not available. Demonstrate understanding of warning signs and labels. Inform to management any unsafe act or condition which cannot be resolve by the incumbents. Advise other team members when working on equipment, facilities or systems close to their work areas.

 

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

 

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

Utilize all necessary resources in the generation or improvement plans. Define roles and responsibilities in their area of responsibility. Be able to manage multiple priorities and changing deadlines. Get important things done, on time, every time.

 

Technical Job

• Understand what policies, procedures, guidelines and state/ federal legislation apply to given position. Manages the development of, and support for, tactical and strategic business goals. Develop plans, utilizing quantitative information consistent with business goals. Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing processes. Leads improvement of all business processes. Works comfortably with figures, forecasts, budgets both from interpretation and reporting viewpoint. Develop measurement systems and learn tools to work smarter, faster and more efficiently.
