What You'll Do At John Deere Ag and Turf, a Utility Vehicle Electrical Design Engineer designs electrical systems for John Deere Gator Utility Vehicles. In addition you will: - Design electrical components, systems, and vehicles (e.g. electrical circuits, wiring harnesses, vehicle instrumentation, electrical control units, charging systems, electric drives, etc.) within cost, reliability, and performance metrics.
- Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality, and supply management organizations.
- Develop and/or execute test or analysis plans for product verification and validation.
- Analyze failure modes and provide solutions for ongoing product improvement.
What It Takes
We need someone with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ideally you will have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or in a related technical field. In addition, we require: - 3 or more years of vehicle electrical design experience.
A strong candidate will also have: - 2 or more years of experience in vehicle electrical system layout and design, including complex wiring harnesses and analog and digital instrumentation.
- Experience in using Capital Harness Systems.
- Experience in electro-mechanical devices and vehicle charging systems.
- Experience in electronic controls for alternative power systems.
