Fayda Engineering & Energy Solutions, LLC is a progressive small business, specializing in full service Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical and Fire Protection Engineering for Institutional (health & correctional), commercial (office & retail), Educational (K-12 & higher ed) clients. Located in New Castle County, Delaware we are conveniently located in the Philadelphia metropolitan area and are positioned less than 15 minutes from the bordering states of Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

We have an immediate need for an experienced electrical designer/design engineer in the Philadelphia/Wilmington Delaware area. Qualified applicants must have at least 5+ years experience in an MEP engineering environment and hold a degree in electrical engineering.

The candidate will be detail oriented, have good oral & written communication skills and critical thinking ability. Know project schedules and deadlines. Maintain effective communication with team members. Assist with the design of building systems for a given facility/project.

Responsibilities & Systems:

• Design power, lighting and fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional and educational buildings.


• Power Distribution: low voltage (208/480), medium voltage (5kv/12kv/25kv/35kv) for internal and site distribution systems.


• Emergency Generation & distribution.


• Alternative energy systems: Solar/PV, Wind turbine, geothermal & CHP micro-turbine


• Lighting: interior, exterior, parking lot and sports lighting systems. Compliance with ASHRAE 90.1, COMcheck and IECC.


• Fire alarm: analog/ addressable, voice evacuation & zoned systems


• Clock, paging & intercom cabling systems


• Nurse call & program systems


• Energy audit and analysis


• Life cycle cost analysis


• Field survey and review


• Review & Coordination with utility companies

Requirements

• 5-10 years electrical design experience


• Associates or Bachelors in Engineering


• AutoCAD experience - mandatory (BIM & Revit not required but helpful)


• Local to the Philadelphia/Wilmington area
