This group has expertise in pointing and stabilization for radars and optical systems, embedded servo control systems, space-qualified electronics, real-time programming, airborne stabilization systems, mechanism control, and power electronics. Example projects include controller, power, and telemetry electronics hardware and software for laboratory space payloads; stabilization and pointing control systems for airborne laser radars and imaging sensors; and pointing and stabilization systems for terrestrial and shipboard radar antennas. The group is also heavily involved in the development and testing of a wide variety of missile defense payloads.
Requirements:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain DoD secret clearance- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- or Bachelor's Degree in EE plus 10 years relevant experience
- Experience with circuitry such as photodetector transimpedance amplifiers, laser diode pulse power drive circuitry, high speed A/D and D/A converters or similar circuitry is required.
- Familiarity with power supply regulation and filtering for precision analog circuitry applications
- Experience with high speed discrete logic design techniques, FPGA and microprocessor systems hardware design is also required.
- Familiarity with all types of laboratory instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, spectrum analyzers, and frequency counters
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment
