Automotive Application Engineer

Job Description:
This position is in the applications design group, with the main goal of winning  designs for new/proprietary semiconductor devices and generate long-term business in the automotive arena and from assigned accounts. This position will allow someone who is very technical, preferrably currently doing automotive body electronics, ABS, powertrain or airbag based designs, to apply their existing design knowledge to the specific product lines available in the portfolio of IC's The person will be responsible for becoming an expert in common and proprietary system on a chip designs with a broad application base. 

Job Specific Requirements:
Strong Engineering skills and prior fluency and cradle to grave designs in automotive. Strong customer sensitivity, ability to manage the Applications / Marketing and customer relationship, help set strategic direction of Marketing and Sales for product definition and become customers advocate inside the design community within the factory.

Minimum Education & Work Experience:

BS Electrical Engineering - Circuit design, Computer knowledge, customer service orientation, failure analysis, negotiation skills, presentation skills, technical knowledge as stated above
-8-bit and 32-bit processor background
- Hardware background with an understanding of embedded sw
-BCM, ABS, Airbag and/or Powertrain background
-Willingness/Patience to work one on one with customers
