Mission Capability Verification Center is searching for a qualified candidate to join the Engineering team at White Sands Missile Range, NM to support the program test operations, design and development activities.









Job Description:







Responsible for performing developmental, research, design and testing of electrical components, equipment, systems and networks. Will design and develop software and hardware for non-tactical test equipment using UNIX and/or MS Windows platforms while ensuring process compliance across all projects. Supports missions to include setup, coordination, data analysis and tracking of tactical software load configurations. Flexible to provide ad hoc assistance in areas outside normal work scope, including process compliance, as required.









Required Education:







Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or related Engineering discipline.









Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years experience with digital and analog design logic and implementation in programmable logic devices from Xilinx, Altera, or equivalent.

- Experience using C or C++ programming language and software design processes in a UNIX or MS Windows environment.


- Knowledge of industry standard test equipment, engineering assessment, corrective actions and engineering modifications and various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters and spectrum analyzers.

- Ability to analyze and problem solve, meet deadlines, multi-task, work in a team environment, interface effectively with customers/management, and support the team across disciplines.

- Ability to obtain interim clearance.









Desired Qualifications:







- Experience with NISPOM Chapter 8 security guidelines and auditing requirements using UNIX systems.

- Experience with CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) Level 3 process areas.

- Knowledge of LabWindowsCVI and/or LabView or similar graphical user interface design tools.

- Knowledge of WindRiver's Tornado VXWorks driver development kit or similar real time operating system design tools.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar computer aided hardware design tools.

- Knowledge of receivers, IF/RF and microwave systems, analog and digital recorders, timing systems, modulation theory, including FM, Bi-phase Modulation and PCM.







Other Requirements:







- Flexible to work long hours and travel (20%) to domestic locations to support program requirements.

- Work outdoors under various weather conditions.

- Work in remote and hazardous locations.

- Work in vicinity of energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordinance.
