Electrical Engineer III - FPGA Designer (1 opening)

Duties:


FPGA designs will include various sensor interfaces, sequence verification, A/D and D/A interfaces, communication protocols, state machines, timer chains, etc. used in Safe and Arm Devices(Fuzes) for DOD weapon systems.


Participate in functional definition.


Participate in architectural design activities.


Design capture.


Testbench creation, design simulation/verification.


AC timing and signal integrity analysis.


Design verification test plan generation and execution.


Debug, hardware/software integration and verification testing.


Qualifictions/Experience/Skills/Traits


 BS EE and 7+ years experience in the design, development and testing of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.  Masters degree is a plus.


U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOD security clearance is required.


Highly motivated to succeed.


High level of design experience with Actel anti-fuse FPGA's.


Experience with Libero IDE system (schematic capture) and Mentor ModelSim tools.


Experience with VDL and converting FPGA designs to ASICS.


Previous DOD contract work experience.


Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as cohesively within a team.


Presentation skills to present design in design reviews and technical meetings with customers.


Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills and computer skills.
