Description of Duties:
- Perform detailed design of electronic assemblies by: establishing requirements, generating schematics, defining interfaces, conducting simulations, and performing engineering development testing
- Support new product development and maintain existing products by: specifying and selecting components, supporting program reviews by providing data and/or making presentations, diagnosing product malfunctions and implementing modifications or improvements
- Assist with proposal development by providing technical solutions to customer specifications/requirements and writing applicable sections of the technical response
- Provide technical support to functional groups within the company
- Support customers and end item users by participating in the field installation and integration, performing site acceptance testing, conducting training and repairing/maintaining fielded equipment
- Develop engineering specifications, plan, manuals, and proposals
- Position requires some travel
Experience Requirements:
Minimum: 2-4 years experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment with direct and increasing responsibilities for electronic product development and equipment design. Understanding of digital and analog circuitry and familiarity with passive and active RF components used in high power applications. Working knowledge of standard software interfaces and controls. Ability to troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies. Experience with technical writing to include engineering specifications and technical manuals.
Desired: Previous related experience with Electronic Warfare training ranges and equipment. Direct experience with high power pulsed and CW radar transmitters, closed-loop servo systems, VME computer architecture, microwave communications equipment, digital data links or systems integration.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum: BS Electrical Engineering
Desired: BS Electrical Engineering with an advanced degree or graduate level studies in circuit modeling/simulation, electromagnetic field theory, power supply, RF component, and antenna design.
Other:
US Citizenship required. Successful candidate shall hold or be able to have granted a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Applicants must have strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multitasking skills.
We operate on a 9/80 work schedule, all employees work 80 hours in 9 days and have every other Friday off.
