Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Automotive Electronic Engineer Job Location: Portland, OR Job Type: Contract (One Year Plus)
Description: Provide technical support for general use electrical components, (i.e. connectors, terminals, relays, cables, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, etc).
• Provide technical support for general use electrical components, (i.e. connectors, terminals, relays, cables, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, etc) to staff from Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and other departments. • Research general use electrical components, including part numbers, series, dimensions, drawings, performance, and availability and part relationships. • Resolve questions regarding general use electrical components with a high level of technical expertise and support. • Review and process new and revision requests for general use electrical components and determine that Company requirements are met. • Maintain and populate electrical systems data, for example Electrical Connector database, circuit Identification numbers. • Maintain and populate Electrical Component Optimization (ECO) project database of optimized electrical connectors, terminals, etc. • Maintain, create and release electrical component part numbers and drawings. • Work with vendors regarding existing and proposed Electrical components.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Bachelors degree in an electrical/electronics discipline with three years of design experience, or Associates degree in an electrical/electronics discipline with five years of design experience is required. • Basic vehicle electrical system knowledge is required. • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills (PC/MS Office and mainframe). • Must be well-organized and able to balance multiple tasks, detail oriented, possess good judgment, and exercise initiative.
