Job Description:

Electrical Engineer - Professional Engineer - PE - Engineer - Transmission Planning - MEP Engineer - Mechanical Electrical Planning Engineer

If you are a Electrical Engineer with Electrical Utility and are qualified for a PE, please read on!

What you need for this position? 3+ years of the following:

- Experience at an Electrical Utility Company or Electrical Utility Engineering Firm
- Some field work
- Power System planning and analysis, operations experience
- Federal and state electric utility, planning, siting, and permitting requirements and procedures for electrical generation and transmission projects
- Hands on experience conducting power system load flow and stability analysis, reliability testing, load forecast modeling, short circuit studies, and power system economics
- Capital costing and operational cost estimates.
- Qualified for a PE license
- BS or MS in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering

What you'll be doing:

- Conceptual planning and design, development, and coordination, construction and commissioning
- Integrated AC / DC collection and trunk line transmission systems.
- Manage and design long line AC / HVDC transmission projects, including both electrical and physical aspects of above ground and underground installations
- Develop project scope, proposals, estimates, and budgets
- Develop engineering documents, specifications, and procedures
- Evaluate and recommend contract awards to engineering consultants and construction firms
- Assist in applying for regulatory approvals and obtaining necessary permits
- Coordinate installation and commissioning with power producers, interconnected utilities, and subcontractors
