Electrical Engineer / Project Manager - PE and Power Distribution & Lighting (DC 117150 m t4)
Electrical Engineer / PE for an established and busy firm who needs someone to help grow their Washington, DC office. Must have a BSEE from an accredited university and a PE in DC or in another state with reciprocity, so can expect DC PE within 6 months. Ideal candidate will have 7+ years of electrical engineering experience (power distribution and lighting), working for an A&E or multi-discipline civil engineering firm, working on federal, educational and institutional projects. Need to be a solid project engineer, who has strong design skills, knows how to draw, and can also run projects. Will have client contact, represent the firm at client meetings, perform hands-on power distribution / lighting design and drafting and run electrical projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD required, experience with Revit or AutoCAD MEP desired. LEED AP preferred. Good communication skills are essential - will be working in a team-based environment. In addition, this is a fast-paced environment - the person that would thrive here would have above average planning and organizational skills, be self- motivated and have drive and initiative to take on new challenges. Prefer at least some experience working on federal projects and must qualify for security clearance to work on those projects.
