Electrical Engineer RF
Senior RF Engineer 2 Positions Junior RF Engineer 1 Position
Manpower Professional has a great opportunity for 2 Senior RF Engineers and 1 Junior RF Engineer for one of our Fortune 100 Clients in the Twin Cites area. These positions requires a strong theoretical knowledge of RF concepts and a proven track record of implementing these concepts into practical RF designs, in particular, high power RF amplifier designs. The candidate must have prior experience in high-power amplifier design from the UHF range through C-band, with experience in GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology a plus. These positions require skill in impedance matching, transmission line theory, RFI/EMI, and experience with a wide variety of RF substrates. The candidate must have proficiency in RF modeling tools such as AWR - Microwave Office and/or ADS, and in particular, modeling non-linear power amplifier designs at both the system level and detailed circuit level. Knowledge of 2.5D and/or 3D electromagnetic simulation tools such as Sonnet and/or CST is a plus. These positions also requires hands-on laboratory work, and the successful candidate must be have the ability to create and use RF test setups that include all types of RF test equipment to test and prove prototype designs. The ability to thoroughly document designs and procedures is also required using standard Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of FCC and MIL standards is strongly desired. An active Secret-level security clearance or ability to secure one is required. Minimum educational level for this position is a BSEE. Manpower Professional is looking for candidates to start as soon as possible. The length of the contract is 6 to 9 months. Due to the nature of the work, candidates need to be a US Citizen and able to pass a drug and background check.
Junior RF Engineer- Qualifications: BSEE with two plus years experience with commercial or military avionics, preferably radar altimeter or RF products. Must have the hardware and software background to work with and define requirements for radar altimeter and RF products. Knowledge required includes experience with standard digital interfaces such as 1553, Arinc 429, RS-485, 422, 232, experience with radar altimeter technologies, digital and analog hardware design and experience with PC and Microprocessor programming. Experience in testing to Mil-STD-462, 810 and DO-160 is a plus. Ability to secure a SECRET clearance. Responsibilities: Responsible for the hardware design of Radar Altimeter and RF products support equipment. Analyze system support requirements, develop and document a support equipment design, make necessary trade-offs and select and document equipment designs. Support of circuit design will also be required. The applicant will have responsibility for both cost and schedule performance of assigned tasks.
