IMMEDIATE NEED with a leading global energy company located in Western Kentucky. Client is searching for a SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER to join their team on a direct hire basis. Medium to High Voltage experience necessary. Responsibilities - Carrying out complex and unique engineering assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques/methods in specialties with little precedent
- Exercising responsibility for accomplishing complex and unusual engineering assignments in an engineering specialty
- Making decisions independently on engineering problems and methods
- Using advanced techniques, and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices in the specialty field and related sciences and disciplines
- Preparation and presentation of routine and special reports and summaries on status of projects
- Directing activities of a nominal group of professional and technical support employees in support of incumbent’s primary assignments
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrument Engineering from an accredited school plus 7 years of post Bachelor’s engineering experience in a wide variety of engineering assignments
- Experience with electrical distribution component design, replacement and upgrade in high, medium and low voltage systems
- Experience in design with National Electrical Code compliance, Arc Flash analysis, Electronic and pneumatic control system design
- Experience with replacement and upgrade, programmable logic controls, distributed process control systems, analytical measurement and control systems
- Experience with control valve election and sizing, and fluid flow calculations, and preventive maintenance action determination
