Position Description


This position would provide frontline electrical and automation engineering support to the Salem facility within a centralized engineering department. Lead optimization and original design projects related to existing and new equipment and part handling, including Robotics, Vision, PLC's, etc.  Maintain the integrity of various software programs related to industrial automation. Maintain current backups and ensure proper safety practices are incorporated into controls automation.


 


 


Specific Duties



  • Coordinate control design changes to equipment and processes including accurate schematic management
  • Manage control & automation requirements for new equipment
  • Manage plant power quality, power capacity and maintain accurate plant power schematics
  • Troubleshoot higher level control automation equipment and system failures
  • Work with manufacturing engineering with Capital Expenditure projects and continuous improvement initiatives

 


Skills Required



  • Thorough understanding of NEC requirements
  • Skilled in PLC programming and microprocessor based control devices
  • Ability to operate a variety of electrical testing & measuring equipment
  • Familiar with Automation Systems Integration experience
  • Controls & Automation Experience in a high-volume, highly automated production environment.
