Duties & Responsibilities
- Modification Design and Installation
- Designs improvements and modifications for electrical/software-related aspects of semiconductor equipment.
- Arranges the design specification, hardware selection and control software of components.
- Trouble Support
- Provides 2nd tier support for Sputtering and Etching systems equipments for Head/Media or Semiconductor manufacturing customers.
- Provides hardware/software troubleshooting guidance to Field Service Engineers.
- Sales Support
- Participates in technical meetings with customers, and makes technical presentations.
- Interfaces with sales team and product engineering in the introduction of equipment to customers.
- Installation Support
- Supports new system installs at customer sites.
- Training
- Trains other engineers, and periodically makes procedural documentation/manuals for company knowledge base.
Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing technologies, especially PVD (sputtering) and dry etching.
- Ability to use CAD a plus.
- Knowledge in PLC, Visual basic, C++ programming a plus.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams (including engineers from other disciplines) and effectively communicate with customers required.
Education Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
