Mechanical skills and abilities should include: ability to read blueprints; operate machine shop tools such as lathe and milling machine; design and build simple fixtures; hydraulic/pneumatic/automotive/HVAC debug and repair; understand principals and design of hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, intensifiers, tubing, and couplings; and welding and metal fabrication.
Electronic skills and abilities should include: solder with wire and re-flow iron; splice and terminate electrical connections; read and understand electrical schematics and device characterization sheets; utilize digital multi-meter (DMM), oscilloscope, function generator, and parametric analyzer; troubleshoot AC and DC analog circuits; fabricate and test prototype breadboards for design verification; and characterization of integrated circuits.
Other skills should include: proficiency with MS Office - especially Excel; data
acquisition programming with Visual Basic, LabVeiw, or HP Vee; troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems; CAD experience with either Autocad or Pro Engineer; and excellent writing skills with the ability to clearly document work (writing reports, drawing schematics, etc.).
Will be required to work overtime as needed.
