Electronic / Electrical Engineer with FAA background - East Point GA

Description:
Electrical engineers will be called upon to design and conduct design reviews of complex electrical/electronic systems, components, and equipment associated with the modernization, expansion and upgrade of complex electrical, electronics and visual aids system within the National Air Space (NAS). Electrical power systems may include combinations of more than one source of commercial power, auxiliary engine generators, power conditioning systems, uninterruptible power systems and complex switching and monitoring systems. Electronic engineers will provide the necessary engineering and design support in various areas of electronics engineering specialization to include: radar, navigation aids, communications, microwave data transmission and automation.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Electronic or Electrical Engineering field that shall include at least two years experience as a project manager or team leader.

Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university or Engineering-In-Training Examination (EIT) or Professional Engineering (PE) certification.


Senior personnel must also possess experience in the most current electronic/electrical engineering principles and practices.

Must possess the ability to develop new electronic/electrical engineering practices for use in the FAA work environment and develop generic electronic/electrical engineering packages for use in the installation of major systems, components, and equipment in a variety of differing types of FAA facilities (e.g. ARTCC, TRACON, Towers, etc.).

Knowledge of National Air Space (NAS) components and systems interrelationships

Capable of applying MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and learning and applying Corporate Work Plan (CWP) applications, Knowledge Services Network (KSN), ProjectWise database and ability to use the Internet as a data gathering and communicating tool.

Must be accomplished with clear and concise general and technical writing, preparation of effective technical presentations, thorough project monitoring and reporting, and ability to tactfully coordinate with a variety of project stake holders, peers and management levels.
