Summary:

The Electronic Field Technician will focus on repairing and troubleshooting electronics equipment at remote transmission stations, performing break fix work, new installations, upgrades, routine and preventative maintenance in an effort to help avoid future problems.  Other responsibilities include the configuration and testing of communication equipment, Remote Terminal Units, fiber optics and Front-end Processors and responding to calls when power flow/outages are noticed, going on site to repair/examine these electrical issues. The majority of the time will be traveling to various substations.

Requirements:

• 
  
  4 year degree in EET or CET or a 2 year degree in these fields with 7-10 years of related experience


• 
  
  Experience managing electrical equipment is preferred


• 
  
  Ability to communicate with people at the different locations

Terms:

This is a direct-hire position located in the Ft. Wayne area, offering a salary in the 45-50k range.  A company truck, gas card and laptop will be provided for this role.
