- To be committed to the common cause of ensuring departmental success
- To build inter-departmental relationships
- Take direction from the Media Manager
- Provide work direction to the Media Operations staff
- Participate in meetings that will help the efficiency of the Media Operations department, development of annual objectives
- Backup the Media Operators as needed
- Media Operators are accountable for day to day activites; Lead is a backup only
- Train all staff on the following tasks to ensure the shift staff can perform these activities day to day:
- Load/unload media for Distributed and Mainframe platforms as needed
- TSM
- Netbackup
- Lotus Notes
- Veritas
- VMS
- Process work intake requests via Deskpro/RFS/ITG
- Manage Media inventory via Visual Vault Keeper (onsite) and Securesync (offsite)
- Monitor success / failure of backups for various business units using various software
- Perform File Restores as requested
- Use ticketing software (HPSD) to dispatch and respond to incidents
- Manage Optical disk load/unload and inventory requests
- Media Inventory control
- Library support
- Gemtracs labeleing
- Scanner usage and downloading
- Understand policies around Media Handling
- Storage
- Encryption
- Destruction
- Tranport
- Maintain current knowledge of documentation and processes
- Usage and Logging in of Telephone system to receive calls
- Usage of Aperature to locate devices in the Data Center
Qualifications: - IT Operations Technical experience - 3+ yrs
- Media Processing experience - 2+ yrs
- Leadership or Supervisory experience with teams of 7+ people - 2+ yrs
- MS Office Excel experience - 2+ yrs
Assets: - TSM/Backup platform experience
- Data Center experience
- Media Processing tape experience
