UnitedHealth Group IT provides a diverse and comprehensive array of application design and infrastructure services designed to advance improved health and well-being for our customers, and to benefit UnitedHealth Group employees across the enterprise.  Comprised of the Application Services Group, Enterprise Technology Services Group and the IT Business Services Group, UnitedHealth Group IT has over 7,000 internal and external resources across the globe, and offices in California, Connecticut, Minnesota, New Jersey, South Carolina, Wisconsin and India   Primary Responsibilities: Maintain a positive attitude and approach To be committed to the common cause of ensuring departmental success To build inter-departmental relationships Take direction from the Media Manager Provide work direction to the Media Operations staff Participate in meetings that will help the efficiency of the Media Operations department, development of annual objectives Backup the Media Operators as needed Media Operators are accountable for day to day activites; Lead is a backup only Train all staff on the following tasks to ensure the shift staff can perform these activities day to day: Load/unload media for Distributed and Mainframe platforms as needed TSM Netbackup Lotus Notes Veritas VMS Process work intake requests via Deskpro/RFS/ITG Manage Media inventory via Visual Vault Keeper (onsite) and Securesync (offsite) Monitor success / failure of backups for various business units using various software Perform File Restores as requested Use ticketing software (HPSD) to dispatch and respond to incidents Manage Optical disk load/unload and inventory requests UBH OSAR IDR Media Inventory control Library support Gemtracs labeleing Scanner usage and downloading Understand policies around Media Handling Storage Encryption Destruction Tranport Maintain current knowledge of documentation and processes Sharepoint Usage and Logging in of Telephone system to receive calls Usage of Aperature to locate devices in the Data Center Qualifications: IT Operations Technical experience - 3+ yrs Media Processing experience - 2+ yrs Leadership or Supervisory experience with teams of 7+ people - 2+ yrs MS Office Excel experience - 2+ yrs Assets: TSM/Backup platform experience Data Center experience Media Processing tape experience Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere:  equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V   UnitedHealth Group is a drug-free workplace.
