Electronic Program Manager - Located in China
About the Job
This an outstanding, global opportunity. The position is located in China. The electronic program manager is responsible for managing multiple electronic projects in power tools. Individuals in this position will provide project management and necessary technical support to assure successful and timely and cost efficiently implementation of projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership for multiple electronic design projects and team members including hardware engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers.
Responsible for the completion of electronic design of assigned engineering projects within specification, scheduling and cost.
Arrange discussion between electronic engineers, mechanical engineers, test engineers and production engineers, make better mechanical / electronic integration, meet market driven design guides and manufacturing requirements.
Work with engineers on supplier material preparation management in design phase.
Accountable for technical elements of project execution including integration of complicated components and assemblies, material selection, packaging and safety, regulatory and standards compliance.
Internal and global project meeting setup and management.
Tracks project schedule to ensure adherence to timelines.
Work with engineers and internal team to development suppliers and help supplier improvement their capability.
Performance review of relevant project design engineers and provide suggestion.
Work with function asst. managers to summarize technical learning and experience and improve design guideline
Assistance Sr. electronic manager and function asst. managers to setup new technology and new platform proposal in the future.
Oversea traveling and project discussion.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering. Graduate studies preferred in the business areas such as Project Management, Finance, Marketing, or Organizational studies. Formal project management training preferred.
Minimum 8 years engineering experience in related field.
Experience successfully managing projects, power electronic projects experience will be better.
Must possess a high level of electronic engineering aptitude including a broad knowledge of electronic components in power electronic.
Have good knowledge of safety and EMC standard, such as UL, FCC, CE, IEC, SAA and etc.
Have good knowledge of electronic assembly manufacturing – IPC-A-610D.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.
Fluent in spoken and written Chinese, both conversational and technical.
Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills
Independent, able to work pro-actively and effectively, self-starter and hardworking.
Must have strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
