Electronic Process Technician

About the Job

Summary:

The basic function of the Electronic Process Technician is to provide support to the various departments within manufacturing.

 

Essential Duties an Responsibilities : ( Other duties may be assigned )

 

  • Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to testing, troubleshooting and repairing analog and digital circuits using common test equipment such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.
  • Assemble and test  motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, solenoids, electrical-mechanical equipment and components according to Engineering data.
  • Modify electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under the direction of the Electrical Engineering department.
  • Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion.
  • Plan, direct, and record periodic electrical testing, and recommend initiatives, modifications, or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
  • Provide customer technical support, (RMA)
  • Read and understand schematics, engineering drawings and bills of material.

 

Qualifications :

The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with strong technical foundation, superior attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or within a cross functional group.   Excellent surface mount soldering skills, experience using common hand tools, strong computer skills in common PC applications such as MS Office, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to learn new task are essential

 

Eduaction :

 

Minimum Associates degree in Electrical Engineering.  Two years of experience as an Electronic Process Technician in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment is essential.
