Will consider any of the following backgrounds: Radar, Sonar, Avionics, RF, SATCOM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Read and analyze schematic systems and board drawings.
2. Simulate discrete operation of components required, with the understanding of interaction of active/passive components and real world function of same.
3. Develop prototype circuits based on schematic drawings, plans and/or rough sketches.
4. Place electronic components with emphasis on noise reduction techniques.
5. Test assembled prototype boards and circuits based on knowledge of proper circuit operation derived from schematic, drawings and engineer input.
6. Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and principles, writing specifications, applicable local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment. Understanding of mechanical theories and principles required.
7. Analyze circuit operations using power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, volt meters and other related test equipment.
