***CSC Seeks Experienced Electronic Engineer to Support Power Systems for Army Programs***

Essential Job Functions

• Designs, implements and maintains electronic equipment, components and circuits for new and existing products. Assists in determining design approach and parameters to move product/system to manufacture or implementation.
  
• Assists in defining and developing quality standards of the end result in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Follows through to ensure quality standards are met.
  
• Assists in developing qualification test procedures and conducts qualification testing. Conducts testing and integration testing for functionality and limits. Examines and evaluates new electronic components and circuits.
  
• Creates prototypes for beta testing and for customer demonstration to ensure feasibility of product.
  
• Assists in reviewing vendor capability to support product development and makes recommendations on product specification and component selection.
  
• Researches new technology or development tools to recommend and/or introduce modifications and/or advances to current systems, products and methods.
  

• Bachelor's degree in electronics or electrical engineering required
• Four or more years of experience in electronic design
• Experience working with electrical theories, design principles and practices and design evaluation techniques
• Experience working with the company's electronic design procedures
• Experience working with personal computers and related software applications
• Test equipment experience, i.e. oscilloscopes, DMM, etc., required
  

• Experiencereading and interpreting schematicsrequired
• Familiarity with electrical and electronic components - selecting and researching specificationsrequired
• Exttensive experience withanalog electronics design preferred
• Schematic CAD software experience preferred
• Hardware testing experience preferred
• Power systems and interfacing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Good communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Good interpersonal skills for interaction with customers and other engineers
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to listen and comprehend the needs of the customer with relation to the project
• Ability and desire to research new technology and methodologies in the electronics field
