Job Description



The Leading
West Coast Civil Engineering and Transportation Consulting firm, is seeking a
Senior Transportation Construction Manager
responsible for local, state and federally funded roads, highways,
interchanges, overpasses, corridors, bridges, rail transit and other Transportation Projects in the state
of California. Please don’t apply for this job unless you have
CALTRANS experience
and a PE or EIT.


 


This position is responsible, through subordinate
construction personnel, for overall management and direction of several
transportation construction projects.


 


·        
Primary
responsibilities would include the evaluation of specifications to plan
procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each
phase of construction.


 


·        
Directs
supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing
work procedures, interpreting specifications and coordinating various phases
of construction to prevent delays.


 


·        
Manages
supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors and suppliers to resolve
construction problems and improve construction methods.


 


·        
Inspects
work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and
the adherence to construction schedules.


 


·        
Prepares
or reviews reports in progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work
schedules as indicated by reports.


 


·        
Conducts
construction activities within federal, state and local environmental rules
and regulations.  Other duties as assigned.


 







Qualifications /
Experience


 


B.S. in
Civil Engineering (M.S. preferred) or related field with emphasis in
Transportation Engineering.


 


PE is required with progressively responsible Civil/Transportation Engineering design and
construction management experience
.


 


Possess a successful
track record in developing and managing Public Works/Transportation Engineering
Projects in California. CALTRANS and
PUBLIC AGENCY experience required.


 


*** Seller/Doer candidates must be
able to write, develop and present transportation construction proposals
and should be well connected to California transportation industry client
relationships and have the ability to promote our firm to new and existing
clients.
