Electronics Technician

Education: Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 7 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Position requires an advanced knowledge in the particular area of specialization plus a broad knowledge of other disciplines. Position requires working knowledge of computer hardware and software as well as mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills. Good written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.


Work Experience Field: Must have direct hands on experience working on RESET, refurbishing or modifications on military missile systems. Must be familiar with TOW, Bradley, Javelin, etc... missile systems.


Job Description :
Essential Job Functions: Under supervision, performs non-routine tasks or tests of some complexity and variety within, but not necessarily limited to RESET of TOW, IBAS, ITAS or other missile systems. May direct the work of lower level Technicians on more complex assignments.

1. Perform a wide variety of duties of complex nature in the installation, modification and operation of equipment.
2. Work with section supervisors to achieve departmental goals.
3. Assist during installation, modification, and development of new or existing equipment.
4. Install, modify, and/or operate site process test units in compliance with approved operational procedures.
5. Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and administrative directives.
6. Provide miscellaneous technical and non-technical support as required or directed.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
