About the Job
Electrical Engineer PPG Industries, a $10 billion leading producer of coatings, glass, chemicals, and fiberglass is seeking talented people for two Electrical Engineering positions for its Natrium, WV Facility. Incumbent responsibilities include design of electrical equipment installations, identification of electrical system improvement opportunities, small project management, development of maintenance procedures and management of electrical preventative maintenance activities. Incumbent will assist with troubleshooting equipment and provide supervision and field assistance to electrical supervisors, plant craftsmen and contractors. The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of electrical generation equipment, electrical distribution equipment and rectifiers. The incumbent must have knowledge of and be capable of utilizing predictive maintenance techniques for electrical equipment. The incumbent will be available as a consultant to the technical personnel and management of the Natrium facility. He/she will fulfill on-call duties on a rotating schedule to provide off hours support. ] A BS degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of actual experience in plant electrical maintenance is required. Experience with rectifiers and 480 volt through 13.8K volt power systems is preferred. We would like to thank candidates who submit their interest for this position.
