This position manages the development and execution of email marketing strategies and programs targeting Marriott Rewards members and non-member guests. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing best in class email marketing programs. - Lead development of ongoing email communications targeting key segments
- Formulate segmentation, targeting, content, and messaging strategies to increase customer retention, open/click rates and revenues
- Play a key role in brainstorming, creating and executing email marketing strategies in support of broader communications objectives
- Assist in setting creative direction for in-house and external creative teams, including campaign objectives, messaging, and potential templates
- Build a relationship with 3rd party email delivery vendor
- Manage the email campaign development and QA process
- Partner with internal business owners to define campaign goals, identify target audiences and advise them on format, copy, cost and schedule
- Evaluate, prioritize and facilitate requests from regional marketing teams or franchisees for inclusion in email programs
- Assist in field training and support of Marriott email marketing programs and tools
- Ensure that all email campaigns are developed and deployed on time and with high quality and superior customer experience
- Identify new opportunities to grow email database with qualified email addresses
Successful candidate should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong skills as follows:
- Minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience
- Previous email marketing or direct marketing experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in heavy work load environment
- High degree of initiative, personal responsibility and ownership
- Ability to execute responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
- Exceptional project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects from start to finish
- Strong interpersonal skills, working as a team member with internal stakeholders and working with strategic partners externally
- Must embrace team spirit
- Ability to work autonomously, with limited supervision
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional counterparts
