Embedded Software Programmer – C, C++, C#, VB.Net, Windows CE

Our client, a North American giant in its industy and supported by a worldwide organization that generates in excess of $700 million in annual revenues, is seeking to add a talented Embedded SW Engineer to it's Minneapolis location.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced embedded software programmer to work closely in a team environment, developing next generation embedded products aimed at meeting the needs of their clients.
Ø Design, develop and test embedded applications in Windows CE based OS
Ø Port legacy Windows CE OS based applications to Windows CE 6.0
Ø Design, develop and test applications written in C++, C#, VB.Net
Ø Design, develop and test device level drivers written in C/C++
Ø Create functional/product specifications and aide support staff in meeting customer requests
Qualifications:
This position will require the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision, and excellent communication skills. The right candidate needs to be self-motivated with previous embedded development experience and a proven record of accomplishments.
Ø MUST HAVE: BS/MS in CS/CE/EE or related field
Ø 4-6 years of demonstrated experience in developing successful projects using WinCE RTOS
Ø At least 4+ years of demonstrated experience developing applications in C++, C#, VB.Net
Ø Demonstrated experience in developing passive/active LCD display and Touch screen applications
Ø Experience writing device level drivers in C/C++
Ø Strong knowledge of 32 bit microprocessor architectures
Ø Experience with TCP/IP, USB, RS 232/485 communication protocols
Ø Experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008 and Platform Builder
Ø Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ø Experience developing BSPs a huge plus
Ø Experience with ARCNET protocol a huge plus
Ø A good understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts a huge plus
Ø A good understanding of Mechanical Engineering concepts a huge plus
