We are a small company, which allows you, from very early on, to work closely with senior members of the company and gain exposure to clients.  While concurrently working on multiple projects, you will be involved in all phases of a project.  The scope of your work will range from assisting with project proposals to the successful completion of project objectives and developing recommendations to clients.  The position will allow you to quickly gain experience and knowledge in the energy sector while allowing for professional growth and development.  Through hard, intelligent work, you will have the opportunity to quickly move up and take on more responsibility.    

 

ENERGY Analyst Job Description

 

As an Energy Analyst you will be involved in a number of different projects.  While the duties and responsibilities will vary from project to project, an Energy Analyst can expect to perform duties that are similar to the following examples:

 

§       Help monitor highly publicized energy auctions for several states

§       Perform quantitative analysis of energy pricing data

§       Research and provide insights into key issues in the energy sector: renewable energy, carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas legislation, and other evolving issues central to the industry

§       Participate in the design of regional energy markets

§       Perform financial valuations of energy projects

§       Help design and manage procurement processes for renewable energy resources

§       Prepare supporting research and analysis to be used in expert witness testimony 

§       Assemble and analyze databases used to calculate energy price benchmarks

 

ENERGY ANALYST QUALIFICATIONS

 

§       A real interest in making a difference in the energy sector through intelligent, hard work

§       Excellent oral and written communication skills

§       A focus on providing only the highest quality of service to clients

§       Excellent academic record from a top university

§       Degree in economics, finance, engineering, math, or physical sciences

§       Self-starter that proves quickly that he/she is ready to take on significant responsibility

§       Strong analytical skills
