Job Description:

The Energy Market Modeler / Model Maintenance Coordinator will report to the Director of Product Development, Market Intelligence. The Energy Market Modeler / Model Maintenance Coordinator will work with different parties inside Genscape to trace the structure and rule changes of the covered markets and organize work forces to make associated changes in the company’ existing market intelligent models on an ad-hoc basis. This role is also expected to create a systematic improvement plan to the existing models and participate in the design of new model platforms.

Required Skills:

·         Possess a good understanding of the power market and physical system operation

·         Be able to use mathematical tools to model the market rules

·         Be passionate about exploring new aspects of the energy markets

·         Possess very good communication skills

·         Meets project deadlines and takes systematic steps to finish a product.

·         Willing to be creative and to find solutions independently although team playing is also 

necessary.

·         Must have MS-Excel skill. Programming inside MS-Excel is needed and other programming skills will be a plus.

Education:

·         Master’s degree required and PhD degree a plus.
