Position Description
The individual in this position is responsible for selling Demand Response (“DR”) and Energy Management (“EM”) related services to targeted Commercial and Industrial (“C&I”) prospects. The Sales Executive will use a consultative sales approach to develop long-term customer relationships to maximize revenues and profits.
q Develop and close new business opportunities in the region
q Develop and implement an overall plan to grow customer base through the development of business relationships with direct C&I prospects and targeted alliance relationships.
q Utilize his/her existing network and relationships, and build new relationships to secure contracts with facility owners and operators and marketing partners to generate annual profitable revenue targets.
q Market and execute contracts with electric consumers who are capable of modifying their operations that serves company’s programs.
q Assist in negotiating contracts for energy management related services with prospective customers.
q Establish a clear and effective transition plan for new customers to become fully integrated into Comverge’s operations.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering, or related field with a consistent and proven track record of successfully closing business. The successful candidate will also possess the following:
q Minimum of 5 - 6 years of energy, energy services, DR and EM related work experience, at least 3 of which involve selling into Channels and direct business-to-business sales
q Established network of business related contacts
q Analytical and problem solving skills; specifically, the ability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex customer business problems
q Aptitude for energy systems
q Working knowledge of financial analysis activities
q Leadership skills and experience
