The Senior Training Specialist for Energy is responsible for providing effective learning solutions to Honeywell employees and customers in the area of energy solutions & technologies, with the mission of helping Honeywell Building Solutions accelerate growth and profitability.
Responsibilities include:
Training Programs:
Collaborate with field and marketing experts to develop and deploy HBS energy training solutions, such as in the areas of:
- Performance contracting engineering
- Energy conservation measures
- Energy efficiency solutions
- Emissions management and sustainability solutions
- Renewable energy solutions
Assessment:
- Within input from field experts and curriculum development team, develop effective skills assessments and knowledge assessments. Perform assessment of student skills by conducting the tests, observing hands-on performances, and inspecting student projects.
- Support regional offices which need to conduct student assessments locally.
- Report assessment results and monitor trends to continuously improve assessment quality.
Equipment/labs
- Design, construct, and maintain teaching equipment and labs where appropriate to support hands-on training experiences.
Training Delivery
- Facilitate training programs for Honeywell Building Solutions employees, partners, and customers. Programs may take the form of classroom, eLearning, live online classes, or recorded classes.
Teamwork
- Collaborate with a wide variety of functional teams within Honeywell, such as marketing, PCE community, product development, technical support, solution design, and field organizations to identify training requirements and prioritize deliverables. Proactively develop collaborative relationships with these areas.
- Support Training Center operations in whatever capacity necessary.
- Professionally represent Honeywell and Training Center in all interactions with customers and business partners.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in engineering, education, or training, or 5 years equivalent experiences.
- 1 year experience working in technical disciplines related to HVAC mechanical & electrical systems, energy or environmental sustainability.
- 5 years experience in education, curriculum development, instructional design, or training delivery.
- Ability to travel and handle evening & weekend work hours as needed in a globally distributed work environment
Preferred Requirements:
- LEED and/or CEM certifications
- Extensive training delivery and curriculum development background.
- Extensive program management experience.
- Highly self-motivated and dedicated professional. Resourceful, able to work and learn independently where necessary
- Eager to learn and develop professional training skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
