Requirements:
Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

" Working towards a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field
" C/C++ programming experience
" Ability to read and understand programmers register access guides for hardware devices.
" Experience with makefiles and scripting languages, such as Perl, Python, Ruby, or UNIX shell scripting
" Ability to organize and manage priorities
" Effective written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively

" Good interpersonal skills - works effectively both independently and in a global team environment
" A basic understanding of digital hardware and hardware/software interfacing

" Comfortable working in a open lab environment with hands on hardware.




Other Desired Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

- PC architecture knowledge
- Knowledge of PC bus interconnects, such as PCI Express, USB, DDR, or Hypertransport
- Linux application, driver and kernel development
- Experience with software version control systems (e.g., CVS, Subversion, RMS)

- Experience with software debug tools such as GDB
- Java programming experience
- Assembly language programming (ideally x86 assembly experience)
- Windows application and driver development
- Experience with hardware description languages such as Verilog
- Experience using protocol analyzers, scopes, and other hardware tools
