Engineering Design Verification Manager

About the Job


Take this opportunity to utilize your skills and experience in engineering and project management to make a major contribution to the Solutions Division for CommTest . In this role, you will: 1. Develop and manage design verification (DV) plans in support of internal projects. This includes DV for all phases of the project from initiation through to project closure. 2. Manage and coordinate all DV resources as required to meet project milestones and objectives. 3. Communicate DV project status and information on a regular basis to division management and other management, as well as appropriate functional groups. 4. Be responsible for developing the strategic vision and the implementation of actions designed to create a powerful automated test program for the solutions division.


Qualifications

To qualify for this opportunity, you should possess the following:
**Minimum ten years of relevant practical software development experience in Solaris based client server and web applications.
** Minimum three years experience with Java, Java script, J2EE, C++.
**Experience of development and deployment of applications using enterprise level databases like Oracle
**Strong understanding of project management and design verification principles is required.
**Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with supervisory/management experience. **Ability to interact with diverse areas (working with employees at all levels of the company) to achieve goals.
**Able to influence large organizations and personnel not under direct supervision. **Demonstrate understanding of cross-functional impact of decisions and actions. **Proven ability to work with outside development contractors and with personnel at multiple locations.
**Proven experience in managing large software development projects.
**4 year Computer science or equivalent degree and minimum 5 years project management related work experience.
