We are currently working with a small and dynamic systems integrator located in North Andover that is looking for an Engineering Manager to run the entire engineering operation of the organization.  The qualified candidate would have at least 2+ years of management experience leading a small team of 2-3 developers.  More important than years of management experience is someone who has experience with start-ups or smaller organizations and has built teams and/or departments from scratch.  In addition to a solid engineering background, any experience working with sensors or hardware would be a plus.  A BS in CS or EE is required and an MS or higher is highly desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for independently driving all aspects of engineering
* Building a team from scratch by hiring 3-4 junior engineers by the end of the year and 3-6 planned for next year
* Setting and meeting timelines of 5-10 projects at a time
* Manage team of engineers in executing sensor development and support
* Sensor management: manage entire sensor program for UAVs

They are a profitable company that should double in size in 2010.  They are a rapidly growing systems integrator that does all of their work with the military so any security clearance or prior experience working with the military would be a huge plus.  They offer a very competitive compensation package (base salary + bonus of 10-20%) plus an excellent benefits package.  They can relocate and are actively interviewing.
