Job Duties:
This job announcement encompasses multiple engineering openings at several Engineering grade levels with JT3. These career opportunities exist in a variety of specialty areas, including:
• Electrical, Software, Systems, Test, and Measurement Engineers working on projects related to Beacons, Digital Electronics, Ground and Auto-Tracking Radar Systems, GPS, IFF, Information Technology, Microwave, Measurements, TCP/IP Networks, Telemetry, Telephony, Satellite Communications, Instrumentation, Control Systems, and Video.
Selected applicants may conduct a variety of engineering activities upon various types of electronic systems and related devices by performing a combination of the following:
• system analysis, requirements generation, specification development, subcontract vendor liaison, technical documentation, hardware and software design and implementation, COTS integration, as well as instrumenting, fielding, sustaining and testing said items.
Equipment may include, but is not limited to, the following:
• electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, high-power waveguide systems and components, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, antenna positioning systems, Ethernet network interface equipment, and digital to analog conversion equipment.
Work requires application of engineering principles with ability to incorporate results into documents and other media.
Working Conditions:
Work hours and shifts may vary to meet aggressive schedules and may require occasional overnights at remote work locations. Rarely, weekend work may be required. Will be required to work in a field location, both indoors/outdoors and at times in a low light, moderate noise environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline combined with experience ranging from 4 to 16 years in a related technical area. Possess knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems in the specialty area. Must have excellent communication and analytical skills and possess effective planning/organizing skills. Must have a working knowledge of computer systems, computer-based engineering tools and Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, and Word). Must qualify for and maintain a DOD Top Secret/SSBI security clearance and be adjudicated to the tier process for access to specific programs. Posses a current driver’s license.
