Engineering/RBS Intern

Key requirements of this position include:
· In pursuit of Engineering degree from an accredited university (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)
· High level of drive and ambition
· Good interpersonal and persuasive communication skills
· Ability to overcome resistance to change
· Proven problem solving and analysis skills
Key responsibilities of this position include:
· Small scale project management
· Data analysis work to support problem solving and strategic development initiatives
· Participation in Kaizen events
· Daily support of RBS and operational tracking metrics
· Responsible for conformance with safety regulations and good housekeeping practices
· Participates in continuous improvements/lean initiatives
· Maintain work cell 5S and housekeeping
· Helps maintain safe work environment
Key goals of internship program include:
· Learn lean methodology and plant processes
· Continued support of Kaizen events including pre-work and critical project follow up
· Establish relationship with machine operators and understand all aspects of the job from set up to the creation of the final product
· Understanding of RBS initiatives and their role in key targets and milestones
