Engineering Supervisor

Client is an International company with operations in over 60 countries. Position is located in a highly desirable area with access to Boston, Providence, Newport and Cape Cod.
Relocation assistance available.

The Engineering Supervisor will lead engineering, maintenance, process and safety functions for a 65 person facility. Must be hands on and enjoys wearing many hats. Will supervise 2 direct reports and report to the Plant Manager.

The Engineering Supervisor will design, coordinate, implement and maintain projects and improvements for the site to improve safety, productivity, quality, and cost. Also will utilize WCM techniques and justify capital expenditures, acquire and implement equipment and processes.

Responsibilities will also include manufacturing process development/improvements projects and facilities/maintenance and preventive maintenance. Will performs tasks with a positive, team-oriented approach and assure company conformance to safety regulations, safety awareness and safe work practices. Candidates will also have an understanding of all environmental policies and significant environmental impact of job activities in accordance with the ISO 14001 standards. Occasional travel as required.

 

Candidates will have a BS degree with Mechanical Engineering preferred and at least 5 years experience in process engineering and manufacturing infrastructure. The Engineering Supervisor needs to be an experienced leader who is willing to perform engineering functions and lead and ability to develop a technically strong and responsible team.

Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation, training, team facilitation, and interpersonal capability, combined with an ability to work cross functionally and across all levels and divisions of the organization. Be self-directed, team player with sound negotiation and problem solving skills. Excellent project management experience. Lead / participate in teams and coordinate activities with other departments to achieve goals. WCM experience (Six Sigma)-green belt certification is a plus.
