Summary:  Under general supervision, oversees the engineering, programming and project management of facilities and infrastructure construction.


Management Scope: This position has no direct reports.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, architecture, and/or construction or equivalent experience
  • Five years architectural design capital planning experience
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license highly desired
  • Experience with engineering, architectural programming, and cost estimating
  • Experience in Department of Defense (DoD) program management office preferred
  • Intermediate level knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, Cost Estimating and Utilities modeling software
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance

 


Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  1. Determine utility system requirements for current and planned facilities.
  2. Prepare drawings, scopes of work and construction cost estimates.
  3. Review project designs, drawings and specifications.
  4. Complete in house engineering service requests and calculations.
  5. Coordinate the engineering, planning and pre-contract process with other departments and organizations.
  6. Respond to Requests for Information (RFI’s) for design and construction projects.
  7. Consult with government staff to ensure project information is in compliance with goals and standards.
  8. Document findings and analysis for the client’s review and comment.
  9. Domestic travel as required.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
