Research and Development Engineering Technician

The Research, Development and Quality team of Genpak LLC, based at the Wilmar Facility in Charlotte, NC (off Westinghouse Blvd.) is  seeking to add a full-time salaried engineering technician (Monday – Friday, 7a-4p).  This individual will be involved in implementing, operating, maintaining, and testing of all new products/projects within the department. The candidate must be a hands-on - problem solver - team player, with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. You must be able to work with little or no supervision, taking design concepts and turning them into workable models. The technician will have close interaction with engineers and plant personnel (all levels) throughout the entire organization. They must have good oral and written language (English) ability with good reasoning skills. A High School degree is required with either a minimum of 5 years of mfg. experience and/or Engineering Technology schooling. Some travel to various production plants, customer and/or supplier sites should be anticipated (approximately 10-20%).
