You can expect the challenge of designing and testing complete electronic controls, displays and sensors and engines for equipment that operates under the roughest imanginable conditions

 
What You'll Do
 
At John Deere Power Systems as an Engineering Technician Team Lead, you will lead the engine controls lab technicians and assist in activities including task prioritization and resource utilization.  In addition you will:
 
  • Be the primary liaison between the engine controls technician lab and other groups including engineering, factories, suppliers, etc.
  • Lead test support for various onsite and offsite test environments.  This includes support of prototype engine systems, system troubleshooting, harness support, and data collection.
  • Design and implement custom test equipment to support hardware design testing.
  • Train new technicians and others as required in engine controls software and tools.
What It Takes
We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and leading in a team environment.  Ideally you will have a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology related discipline or equivalent experience. In addition we require:
 
  • 2 years of experience in electronics engineering.
  • 1 years of experience leading a technical team including task prioritization and resource utilization.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
 
A strong candidate will also have experience in diesel engine electronic control system design in off-road equipment.
