Position Available:
Enterprise Solutions Architect


Bed Bath & Beyond provides software and services in the enterprise application integration field. The Enterprise/Solution Architect working in the Enterprise Architecture group is an expert-level architect for solution development. The candidate will have a leadership role in designing and delivering solutions that meet expectations in a timely manner with high quality. He will also drive the EA reference architecture to continue to enable the organization to understand the impact of change.

Responsibilities include:



  • Maintain reference architecture and meta-model within Enterprise Architecture tool.

  • Work with all areas of the organization on the design and scoping of Enterprise initiatives. This will require strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

  • Provide consulting support to projects during detailed design and delivery to insure adherence to established standards as well as best practices and industry trends

  • Maintain reference architecture and meta-model within Enterprise Architecture tool.

  • Develop future roadmaps for Enterprise Landscape from the corporate Datacenters to the store to the mobile device.




Qualifications

Solution Architect requires a strong background in application design and delivery with a working knowledge of enterprise hardware.
Has in-depth expertise with TIBCO Middleware products to deliver Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services, Enterprise Application Integration, Managed File Transfer, Application Frameworks, Web 2.0 or equivalent programs and technologies.
The enterprise architect (EA) is responsible for leading the Bed Bath & Beyond Architecture Review Board(ARB).  The EA understands the business objectives of the projects and is able to design optimized solutions that solve multiple business problems in a cost effective manner. The EA must be able to communicate the architecture solutions and the benefits to various team members.  The SA owns the reference architecture of the project(s) and ensures that solutions are developed and delivered based on this document. 
The SA must be able to design solutions that have business values with quality measured by multiple metrics (scalability, performance, security, usability, maintainability).  
 
Retail Experience a plus.
TOGAF experience a plus.
