Entry Level Equipment Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide equipment and administrative support functions to assist in day-to-day operations. Provide support in the evaluation of program/projects’ equipment and administrative requirements. Collect equipment information and enter into databases. Support the reporting of safety deficiencies and corrections to such deficiencies. |
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
Perform administrative support that involves collecting analyzing and interpreting specialized information about equipment
Provide advisory services to those who design test produce procure supply operate repair or dispose of equipment
Develop and revise equipment maintenance programs and apply practical knowledge of the characteristics properties and uses of equipment
Duties include fundamental technical writing functions for engineering specifications user manuals monthly reports and engineering studies
Perform trend analysis of Air Force Forms 202, contractor programmed depot maintenance data, major structural repairs (MSRs), and re-fly data
Assess emerging issues with PDM and provides superiors with information to make corrective changes
Stock list part items for future requirements
Track Engineering Assignments through the Corrective Action Request (CAR) procedure
Use ability to read and understand aircraft Technical Orders (TO) and drawings in the performance of duties
Process data to include over 800 AFMC Forms 202 per month verify documents search and compile information into reports verifying reports for accuracy and completeness
Prepare reports graphs and charts using Microsoft Access Excel and Word in a timely manner to meet required suspense and present briefings detailing supportability issues and concerns
Coordinate with engineering equipment specialists and maintenance offices to ensure continued support of items
Identify Weapon System Codes on all materials for the KC-135 PDM office through the Weapon System Support Program (WSSP)
Assign codes for KC-135 to materials not assigned |
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED
3-5 years related experience |
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:
|
Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid U.S. Government security clearance to be retained in this position |
