(a similar position is also available in San Diego) Medium Sized Environmental Consulting Engineering firm is growing and wants to hire a Department Manager. We are looking for a Senior Remediation & Hazardous Waste Engineering Manager who also has Client Service Manager skills. Investigation and Remediation- Implementation and quality assurance of site permitting, investigation and remediation projects, including federal and state Superfund work; investigation, remediation, and closure of hazardous waste sites.
Environmental Compliance and Sustainability- You have excellent relationships with state and local regulators for groundwater and investigation and remediation. Strong knowledge of permitting issues, compliance issues, and sustainability principles.
You have experience with Federal, commercial and industrial clients. You’ve had P&L responsibility and have also been responsible for creating and maintaining client relationships, new business development and mentoring junior level staff. As a senior PM, you’ll be evaluating remedial alternatives and you’ll have demonstrated knowledge of technologies and approach. Required Skills: Department or Office management experience with an Environmental Consulting Engineering firm. M.S. or BS. Degree in Environmental Engineering or related science. And a P.G. or P.E. preferred . You must have knowledge of California market and accepted industry practices specific to this geography
10+ years of experience required. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental disciplines (Environmental, Sciences, Civil, Chemical Engineering) and a PE. You’ll be doing regulatory compliance for industrial and government clients, so you must be familiar with the regs and the regulators. OSP 14000 is a plus. You’re going to manage our existing business and staff and help continue to build our business in the Region. You have experience with environmental regulatory compliance for Federal, commercial and industrial clients. You’ve had P&L responsibility There’s a lot of client work in this position and you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining client relationships and mentoring the junior level staff. Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing and marketing skills are necessary. This will be a very attractive compensation and relocation package.
