Role Summary/Purpose
The Environmental Health & Safety Leader will drive Environmental, Health and Safety excellence at the 100+ employee Chicago Illinois & Bonham Texas Digital Energy manufacturing facilities. In this role you will be responsible for developing and promoting a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain 100% compliance with federal, state and local EHS regulations
  • Lead implementation of all GE EHS programs including all Gensuite web tools, conduct EHS training, compliance audits, drive safety committee, culture change, lean-ergonomics, crisis management / emergency preparedness, Ecomagination GHG commitments, injury & illness case management, provide progress reports
  • Implementation of GE's H&S and Environmental frameworks
  • Drive proactive culture & hazard awareness/recognition to reduce accidents in the workplace, perform root cause analysis of incident/accident investigations and implement solutions
  • Deliver health and safety training
  • Lead and promote ergonomics programs and participate in Lean action workouts
  • Maintain VPP certification

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Sciences or other technical degree
  • Minimum 1 year VPP experience
